ESR Pipettes – Clinical Hematology Grade
ESR Pipettes provide a safe, shatterproof, and accurate solution for measuring erythrocyte sedimentation rate in routine blood testing. Designed to streamline laboratory workflows, these disposable pipettes eliminate biohazard risks associated with glass breakage and infectious liquid handling. Precision-molded for maximum clarity, high-purity ESR pipettes feature a built-in hydrophobic fiber filter at the top zero mark that automatically stops the blood column precisely at the 0 mm graduation, ensuring fast, leak-free, and reproducible manual or semi-automated ESR readings across pathology centers in Pakistan.
Key Applications:
-
Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate Testing: Serves as the primary testing tube for assessing non-specific systemic inflammation, infection, autoimmune disorders, and tissue necrosis.
-
Clinical Hematology & Pathology: Widely applied in routine diagnostic blood panels to screen for conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, temporal arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, and chronic infections.
-
Closed-System Blood Handling: Used in combination with pre-filled ESR reservoir tubes containing sodium citrate anticoagulant for safe, closed-system blood suction and zeroing.

-
Handling & Usage: Mix blood thoroughly with 4:1 sodium citrate anticoagulant before inserting the pipette. Gently push the ESR pipette vertically down into the sample tube until the blood column hits the auto-zero filter plug. Maintain the tube in a strictly vertical ESR stand at 90 degrees for exactly 60 minutes before taking the reading.
-
Disposal: Single-use only. Dispose of immediately after reading in a designated biohazard sharps or consumable waste container in compliance with clinical waste disposal regulations.
