Embedding Cassettes – Histology & Tissue Processing Cassettes
Embedding Cassettes provide a secure, organized, and chemical-resistant container for biological tissue samples as they undergo dehydration, clearing, paraffin wax infiltration, and sectioning. Manufactured from specialized acetal polymer, these cassettes exhibit exceptional chemical resistance against harsh histological reagents including formalin, alcohols, xylene, and paraffin wax. Designed with wide flow-through slots, they ensure rapid reagent exchange and complete paraffin penetration during processing. The integrated or detachable hinged lid snaps firmly shut to prevent sample loss, while the angled front and side textured surfaces allow easy handwriting with specialized histology markers or automated cassette printer labeling.
Key Applications:
-
Histopathology & Tissue Processing: Ideal for securing biopsy and tissue specimens through automated tissue processors during paraffin wax infiltration.
-
Paraffin Block Embedding: Serves as the structural backing frame when molding tissue specimens into solid paraffin wax blocks prior to microtome sectioning.
-
Pathology Sample Archiving: Enables long-term, space-saving storage of embedded paraffin tissue blocks in pathology archives across hospitals and diagnostic centers in Pakistan.
